The idea stayed in the peripheral part of my vision. I was wondering if there will ever be another Dead Can Dance album. The last one was Anastasis which I enjoyed fully. But then, one could not really tell with the duo of Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry. They’ve always made terrifyingly beautiful albums and sometimes too much creativity can have consequences.

Finally we have Dionysus released this month! The title is about the Greek god of grape-harvest, winemaking and wine, of fertility, ritual madness, religious ecstasy, and theatre in ancient Greek religion and myth. He also marks the coming of great change which can be frighteningly maddening and confusing. Perhaps it is the perfect album for the current climate, both political and environmental. We are like fishes fighting for fresh water and we need a sort of awakening.

I am yet to get the album but I have read reviews and they are generally positive! We shall see. I will get my copy and we can marvel at this track for now.
