I am a bit biased when it comes to bands where I know one or two of the members. I also like it when the music is different from what I am used to. It challenges my aesthetic comfort zone. Have you ever experienced that everytime you listen to a new band with a unique sound?
Tigershark members are Jesse McPherson, Kenneth Cunningham, Kevin Murrell and Layne Greene. Their music borrows heavily from dream pop and noisecore and then they added their own individual styles, creating a sound like no other. It isn’t something you can expect from a group emerging from the quiet town of Blue Mountain Nova Scotia, but it looks like they managed to hack it.
They have a new EP coming out in a few months, but no major announcement has been posted yet. I guess they are still making sure everything is good before releasing it to the interwebs.
Earworm is their new song. The term means a catchy piece of song that plays again and again in the head long after the piece is over. And I don’t doubt it. Listen to the first few bars. It’s got that hypnotic thing going.
