November Indie Circus and More.

How are you folks?  The truth is, I posted the entries below ahead of this intro. I didn’t know what to write about, but I figured that I need to represent artists who make my world exciting. Some of them are new, others I met a few years back, some I talk to ocassionally, some are so busy with their lives(and music) and I am happy for them.

Thursday is payday and I am so exciting to see if I can get a new bicycle. This time I want a fat bike. Fat bikes are amazing because you can just take them everywhere. And I am planning to get myself a new bluetooth speaker so I can jam while pedaling. It is really awesome to have music wherever you go.

Anyway, I hope your middle of the week is amazing. Not as boring as mine. Ok signing off for now…

Now  for something not really related to music…

If you are a Horror fan and you want to support podcasts related to it, then check out Emerald Gore Society. They have their regular Gorecast where members review movies and other stuff. It is fun. Do check it out.

And I’m gonna put some magic into it
Some vibratory thing!

Exciting Winter Chill Essentials-basicLUX Records

Life can be stressful depending on where you are or how you look at it. That is why the idea of having to go somewhere after a hard day at work is such a pain. Why not stay home and listen to music? basicLux Records has gathered the best under its label and chose the the most beautiful track from each artist for your listening pleasure.

Hear out Lemongrass, Gabriel Diggs, Madison Park, Groovecatcher and more…I’m sure you’ve heard them in various sites including YouTube while you were searching for songs with keywords like chill chill-out, house, electronica, dance etc right? So here’s your chance not to look further. They are all here. They are the best and the brightest in the genre.

Don’t Let Go, It’s Easy are just few of the introductory songs that will set you on the mood. The quality is pure and crisp. Whiter you are listening to your expensive headphones like the The Sennheiser Momentum 2.0, Beats Studio Wireless or just the basic Apple EarPods, these compilation emanates that inherent sonic quality that sets the standards! And if you are listening with huge speakers, please pump the volume up and share the music.

I also urge you to check out each artist when you visit http://www.basiclux.net.

“Miss Razorblade – The XMS (X-Mouth Syndrome) Remix” by Johnny Normal

page

I like the way Johnny Normal writes and performs his original electropop tunes. He brings to the table the reasons why we like the genre. He has the right combination if you are looking for something catchy, danceable and radio friendly. He knows and loves his pop music and I tell you, once you listen you are hooked!

Miss Razorblade has gotten its release early this year but another version is out. It is different from the original as the tempo has been slowed down(just a bit), more emphasis on the drum and bass and this time it features  Izzie Voodoo’s vocals. It’s called “Miss Razorblade – The XMS (X-Mouth Syndrome) Remix.” Think of Republica and OMD. It sounds like a good entry to the club market. It will be available only on the forthcoming Johnny Normal album “Robot Rock.”

When not writing and performing tunes with his band, Johnny Normal is also a producer. In fact I think he is the British version of “The Godfather”…wink. He also hosts a weekly show via www.radiohappy.eu. You can hear the podcast here: http://www.mixcloud.com/johnnynormal/

Interview with Milan Samko of The Aprill (Plus live performance) by Baxter Labatos on Mixcloud

This is my interview with lead man Milan Samko. I posted a blog about them in my past issue. I like their music. It has mainstream appeal. Milan and I planned to talk through Skype. He usually does video editing and Photography work in the afternoon because that’s part of his job. He surprised me with an acoustic performance. I am glad to capture the energy in this audio interview.
